Lots of Boxes and Anne's Peek

I am surrounded by boxes now. The poor mail man and UPS guy are probably going nuts trying to figure out what in the world is going on. Those aren't the only boxes, though. I was procrastinating, not wanting to work on the covers, and I decided to pull out my stash of fatbook shipping boxes and spray paint them. Nothing too fancy, just not plain white any more. I have a stack ready to load the books that are shipping. For once I would like to send out the books before I leave for Hampton. Those of you who don't go to Hampton shouldn't have to wait until I recover from the retreat to get your books. I am optimistic this year.

And now, here is a sneak peak from Anne. What fun pictures. I have her pages here now, and they are really yummy.

Tick Tock Tick Tock

Thirteen days left for me to receive book one. Those of you in book two have a couple more weeks, you are the lucky ones. I have already received 12 sets of pages. I got three boxes today and three yesterday, it is starting to feel like Christmas and the mailman is looking at me funny again. I wonder what goes through his head at this time of year when I start getting loads of boxes. The pages are looking fabulous and they are all very unique. I can't wait to see the rest.

Dana's Peek

Five weeks left for Book One pages and seven weeks for Book Two! I've already received two sets of pages and I can't wait to get my mitts on the rest.

Now look at what Dana is doing. In her email, she said "Just a few homemade goodies to embellish the pages including wire trees, wire flowers, tissue paper flowers and mini seed packets." Looks like these pages are going to be nice and fat, just like I like them.

Page Peek from Sophie in Belgium

These are turning out to be fatbooks with an international flavor. We have pages coming from Canada, Germany, Dubai, Belgium, and Norway. Sophie in Belgium shared a peek of her pages which I am loving. I am glad to see different materials and different styles being used. It makes for more interesting books. I can't wait to get my paws on these.

Update from Sophie in Dubai

Once again Sophie has gone shopping in the souks. And once again I have no idea what that is, but it still sounds cool. She has sent us a bunch of nice pics of her start on her pages and what I see so far looks great. It is nice to look at these garden-y images when there is snow out my window. Snow in South Carolina and it has been here for almost a week. What is the world coming to? So, make me feel better and send me loads of pics of your "in the garden" pages so I can dream of spring.

Denise's Flowers for Book One

Look at these!!! Not only did Denise send a picture of her pretty ruffled map flowers, she sent a picture that shows how she made them. I'm glad to see somebody else working on their pages. I've been working on what seems like an endless amount of covers and pages for the fatbooks. I'll have to set them aside pretty soon if I want to get anything done around the house for Christmas. Keep those pictures coming, it will make the time move faster, well, at least it will feel that way.

Opening Up a Second Book

Well, Book One is filled and since people are still interested, I'm opening up the list for a second book just like we did in 2008. Look to your left and you will see the two books we did then. The covers will be different and people in the first book are welcome to participate in the second. All I ask is that if you do both books, you make different pages for each.
