One Month Minus One Day
That is how long we have before all the pages will be here. I'm being optimistic that they will all be here on time. I'm surrounded by 86 pieces of chipboard and they are really starting to look like cover material. I plan to have all the covers finished by Friday, including all the names on the back. Then I can start on my pages. I'm thinking about a velvet Elvis. I found this incredibly tacky black pleather fringe and I think I'm going to have to use it. What are you all doing? Come on, I want to hear all about it and I want to see lots and lots of pics.

Well, I am still cutting up paper. I actually like to work on this part while watching my fav. shows in the evening, (American Idol, Dancing w/ the Stars ect...) Anyhow, my page has taken on the "Rock around the Clock" theme. I spent some time tossing some ideas around but this was my final idea as it all started to come together. My hubby liked it too, so I guess that was the final word as to what idea to use. The only thing is he does not think my tiny shrink art records look like records. I have them hanging off the page as a tag. I like em though so they are staying, LOL
I love that rock around the clock idea. I have been at total loss trying to come up with ideas and I have a feeling I'm going to feel really stupid when I see all the great things people come up with. I was thinking I might do a shrinky guitar on my Elvis page. I'll bet your records are great. Your husband probably just doesn't remember what records look like. I can just see my 12yo son asking "what is THAT thing?"
I've done about 25, 20 more to go. 43 will be the same theme, but the 2 extra I'm stumped. Better under pressure I guess. I can't wait to see it all together. Thanks for do all this! susi
I finally came up with my idea, practiced, I hope, did all my mistakes and got them all out of my system and now starting on putting it all together. Right now my finger is sticky from glue. Mine includes a little computer disk and a lady dancing. I'll post a picture soon. Can't wait to see everyone's.
great minds think alike. I had no idea what to do with a rock and roll theme then suddenly blue suede shoes popped into my head soon followed by Pink. So my theme is "Pink sings Blue Suede Shoes". Finished the page backgrounds on Sunday and am now working on the embellishments. can't wait to see the finished book - it will be so "phat" and fat this year...
